Lego has officially announced the new Lego Ideas Sonic The Hedgehog Green Hill Zone Set. This is based on how the name implies, on the Green Hill Zone, the legendary first level of the first Sonic The Hedgehog from 1991. Target group should therefore be primarily nostalgic fans of the Jump & Run classic. Lego himself speaks of the way to build a piece of video game history. On January 1, the set should already appear. Then you will be able to order it directly in the Lego Store for 69.99 euros:

What does the new LEGO Sonic Set offer?
Size of the set: The Lego Ideas Sonic The Hedgehog Green Hill Zone Set consists of a total of 1,125 parts, with which one can assemble a separate Sonic level section, including rings for collecting and a looping. Built is about 36 cm wide and 17 cm high. The depth falls slightly with 6 cm as it is to be expected from the implementation of a 2D-Jump & Run classic.
Figures: with these are figures of Dr. med. Eggman, Crab meat, Motor Bug, Phantom Ruby and of course by Sonic itself. Dr. Eggman can be placed in his EGG robot. Sonic can also be thrown into the air using a so-called technical lever to reflect the dynamics of the game.

Design: With regard to the design and the colors, the Green Hill Zone Set of course is very close to the original. This does not only affect the iconic carols pattern of the landscape and the typical shape of the palm tree, but also small details such as the remaining life in the lower left corner.
